Dolphin Sex: Former NASA worker Margaret Howe reveals how she had sex with a dolphin

Twenty-three year old Margaret Howe Lovatt was recruited to be part of a NASA-funded project to communicate with dolphins in the 1960s.

She lived with Peter, a bottlenose dolphin in a charming villa on the St Thomas island day and night for ten weeks to teach him English, in complete isolation. Peter didn't get too far with his English, but he did fall in love. Peter was growing keener and keener on winning Margaret's attentions.

He would rub himself on her knee, her foot or her hand as his love and desire for Margaret grew. Eventually the two had a "very close encounter," before Peter was sent away. To quote Margaret: "it was very precious and very gentle, Peter was right there, he knew that I was right there."

Peter was shipped back to Miami with a broken heart after the experiment ended. He committed suicide by refusing to breathe and sinking to the bottom of his tank.
